Ugh, yesterday was a weird maelstrom of every kind of errand known to man. I visited all seven corners of Orlando and experienced a brief moment of perfect sympathy for Odysseus. I didn't get a chance to sit down and start today's 8BT until about 7pm, roughly 10 hours later than I like. I guess imagine starting your work day after your work day. I crashed by 9:30pm and was up this morning at 5am. I think this means I'm actually 68 years old.
Of course, you'd know all this already if you were on the Twitter.
Meanwhile: what I like most about this time of year is how freely I am able to lord a sense of regional superiority over everyone I know online. Every moment you spend in the waking hell that is your snow-filled winter, I just want you to picture me sitting here at home with the windows open enjoying a brisk but comfortable breeze during another bright, sunny day.
This image will become especially important to you when Lydia and I eventually move out of Florida and I'm caught in the nightmare world of A Real Winter. It will break my spirit, and I will have deserved it for bragging about the paradise that is life without snow, and the thought of my suffering will warm you in a way that I will be too insane and cold to ever know again.
